Position Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Social Media Manager who will be a key leader on our social team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social strategies for our consumer brand clients. The Sr. Social Media Manager will oversee social media operations, develop platform-specific strategies, and drive measurable engagement across all current and emerging social platforms. They will lead all aspects of social media management including publishing, monitoring trends, community management, and reporting on content performance to optimize strategy.

This particular role focuses on our consumer brand clients – working on a range of projects from travel to lifestyle to product. The ideal candidate understands the social landscape for consumer marketing – follows the latest buzzy (and niche!) brands, tracking trends and understanding the nuances of the campaign cycle. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, and data/strategy-driven, with a passion for all-things social media.

Reporting into the Associate Director, Social, they will also contribute to RFPs – developing platform strategies and providing the latest insights on social trends. They'll work closely with the Associate Director to ensure strategy + ideation are optimized for the latest social best practices across all assigned projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive social media strategy development and execution for multiple consumer brand clients
  • Develop and implement platform-specific strategies for Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, and Reddit that maximize native engagement and leverage each platform's unique features
  • Maintain a working knowledge of key industry trends, social platform updates, and competitive projects to inform social strategy
  • Monitor and analyze cultural trends and breaking news to inform content strategy and identify opportunities and/or problematic flags
  • Create comprehensive performance reports tracking key metrics including engagement rates, reach/impressions, video views, and community growth
  • Provide strategic recommendations and optimization plans based on performance data and industry benchmarks
  • Oversee and manage client social media accounts, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies and objectives
  • Foster positive relationships with your roster of clients – including problem solving when needed
  • Lead the creation and management of editorial calendars that support brand and campaign initiatives
  • Execute content publishing across social platforms, maintaining consistent brand voice and engagement standards
  • Present strategies and performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and work alongside Strategy Coordinators to ensure seamless content scheduling and publication


Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in social media management and digital marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in social media metrics and reporting
  • Demonstrated expertise across major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, Reddit)
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (Sprout, Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite)
  • Excellence in project management and meeting deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow social media audiences
  • Deep understanding of social media best practices and platform-specific requirements
  • Lifestyle, F&B and/or travel experience is a plus

Location and Salary

This is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $100,000-$120,000, depending on experience. The contract-to-hire period will be three months. This is a remote role and candidates should be comfortable working east coast hours, and preference will be given to candidates in New York or New Jersey.
