Delta Beverages is a fast-growing infused beverage company revolutionizing the industry. As we expand, we’re building a strong internal infrastructure to support our dynamic team across multiple states.
We are seeking a Payroll & HR Administrator to support our HR department with continued infrastructure-building efforts in including multi-state compliance, payroll administration, expense tracking and reconciliation, policy and documentation updates and compliance audits.

The Payroll & HR Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the internal HR infrastructure by managing core administrative functions across payroll, tax compliance, benefits, and policy documentation. This role is responsible for processing multi-state payroll, ensuring payroll tax accuracy, coordinating benefits administration, tracking compliance requirements, and maintaining up-to-date HR policies, handbooks, and internal documentation to support a scalable people operations foundation.
In addition to core HR administrative duties, the role may assist with budget tracking, basic scheduling, team event logistics, and occasional office administration as needed. This position supports both the HR Manager and Senior Leadership, contributing to the operational health, legal compliance, and overall employee experience of the organization.

Payroll & Payroll Tax Administration:
Oversee multi-state payroll tax compliance for sales and remote teams.
Ensure proper administration, tracking, and resolution of payroll tax issues.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Partner with HR Manager, finance and accounting teams to manage payroll budget and expense reporting.
Administer and optimize payroll processes in collaboration with HR Manager.
Manage employee time tracking, payroll reconciliation, and payroll-related reporting.
Work with third-party payroll providers and PEO partners to ensure seamless payroll execution and PEO system set-up.
Assist in audits, legal compliance, and tax filings related to payroll.

Benefits & Workers' Compensation Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment, claims, and inquiries.
Oversee workers' compensation claims and administration with HR Manager, working with insurance providers.
HR Operations, Policy Documentation & Compliance:
Assist in tracking and managing legal and compliance documents related to HR operations.
Support policy documentation, HR reporting, and regulatory filings.
Help develop and implement HR systems and workflows to streamline operations in partnership with HR Manager.
Maintain and contribute to the employee handbook and HR policy guides, ensuring they are up to date with compliance laws, payroll tax changes, and company policies.
Collaborate with leadership to update policies related to payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.
Work closely with the HR Manager on scaling HR systems to accommodate rapid company growth.
Assist in HRIS/PEO implementation and management.
Maintain confidential employee records in compliance with legal and internal policies.

Financial & Administrative Support:
Assist in budgeting and expense reporting for HR and payroll functions.
Support and assist in financial forecasting related to payroll, benefits, and HR programs.
Manage HR-related accounting processes and vendor payments.
Travel and Event planning and booking support.
Occasional office administration support when needed.
Provide technical and administrative support for HR systems, reports, and audits.

5+ years of experience in payroll administration, multi-state payroll tax, compliance and benefits administration.
~ Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance for remote and multi-state employees.
~ Experience in HR financial processes, including payroll budgeting, expense tracking, and accounting.
~ and HR reporting tools.
~ Experience working in a fast-growing company, startup, or scaling business that has growing needs for implementation of new infrastructure.
~ Strong technical skills in HR systems, payroll software, and reporting.
~ Experience in workers' compensation wage administration and benefits compliance.
~ Experience contributing to and maintaining employee handbooks and HR policy guides.
