About the position
The Data Center Security Manager (DSM) at AWS is responsible for overseeing the execution of security programs within classified operations, managing security projects, and ensuring the protection of personnel and critical infrastructure. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional security services. The DSM will also manage onsite security forces and collaborate with various teams to uphold the highest safety and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage physical security operations and develop post orders.
- Define security procedures and handle site incidents.
- Work with security equipment and participate in construction projects.
- Drive day-to-day process improvement activities and manage vendors.
- Ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures.
- Participate in recurring site audits and reviews and test new security technologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- 2+ years of experience in security patrolling and reporting.
Nice-to-haves
- 1+ years experience in security related documentation/reporting.
- 1+ years experience with LENEL or C-cure systems.
- 1+ years experience with trouble ticket systems for access requests and extraction of performance metrics.
- 2+ years experience with investigations including accidents, thefts, disturbances, discrepancies.
- Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.
