Role Description:

Delta’s PX, Data Products team is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer responsible for delivering high quality integrated data assets that support creating analytical models and visualizations and deriving insights that drive personalization opportunities. The role will have an analytical mind with engineering chops and thinks at scale considering the needs of analysts and data scientists. The successful candidate will have top notch technical skills, strong analytics exposure and understanding of Delta’s customer journey to help drive decisions throughout the organization.


Primary Functions:


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or engineering
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Expert in writing Advance / Complex SQL queries with strong experience in Python (NumPy & Pandas) and data processing tools such as Glue or SAS
  • Proficient with Tableau or Power Bi (Must Have) for advanced visualization.
  • High attention to detail, solution-oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles


WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS analytics toolkit (e.g., Redshift, Sagemaker, Lambda etc.)
  • Working knowledge of statistical/machine learning tools (e.g., R, scikit-learn)
  • Prior experience with Delta or other airline or Hospitality data a plus
  • Self-motivated and take pride in building great products for key stakeholders.
